{family} The Comer Family

Working with the Comers is always so much fun- not only are they one of my favorite families, but they know exactly what they want and they are extremely easy-going and energetic...even on one of the HOTTEST DAYS EVER!

We planned to meet at the Willows in Villanova at 10 am, and though we were all grateful the sun was shining for our shoot, the humidity was at 100% and it felt like 100 degrees out. The heat didn’t seem to affect the Comers, who all looked sharp, beautiful and coordinated.

The goal was to start by the mansion and then make our way down to the gorgeous lake on the property; however, when I arrived a little early, there was maintenance work being done in front of the mansion.

Plan B was to start at the lake instead, which worked wonderfully. There was a little semi-shaded area in between two trees that showed the water fountain in the middle of the lake perfectly. It was the perfect spot to take a whole family photo. We started there and naturally found our way to a small, scenic bridge, where I took one of my favorite pictures from this shoot: the one of the three kids. Though we had certain areas planned out, (thanks to James and his reliable itineraries :) ), we had to work with the heat and avoid being in sunny areas.

Regardless of the heat, working with the Comers was easy-breezy. The kids were adorable, as always and the adults went with the flow and feeling of the shoot as different shaded spots became apparent to us.

We joked and laughed and explored the grounds and the smiles you see in these photos are completely genuine. One of the most special things about this photoshoot, besides the wonderful people in it, was the fact that it was planned as a gift for Noreen, James and Ulick’s mom. It truly was a special day for a special family and a very special woman.

I loved taking these pictures. It was a beautiful location brought to life by this beautiful family. Noreen adored the photos and I had a fantastic time working with her and helping her create a photo wall in her house.

Charismatic, organized, hilarious, gorgeous (& adorable), loving, and extremely photogenic, the Comers are not only dear friends, but amazing clients to photograph. I am always honored to be the one behind the camera, snapping away and capturing memories and moments they will frame in their homes, and cherish forever.
