{event} Rory's 2nd Birthday
He was almost two years old when I took these pictures. Like Bethany, I was at a loss for the quickness of time. It really seemed as if it was yesterday I was taking Bethany’s maternity pictures…Rory’s newborns, but there we were, on a beautiful day at Rolling Green, chasing Rory around for his two year old photos. Dressed to impress, Rory was determined to cover every inch of the golf course. Running down the green, playing on the “beach,” finding and throwing golf balls, a

Julian…Juju Bee. There is nothing more pure, more peaceful, more precious than a sleeping newborn. The amount of emotions that arose as I walked into Riss and Stephen’s house that morning are inexplicable. Our original plan was to visit the weekend before; however, Evelyn was sick and we didn’t want to be around everyone, especially Julian. My patience was wearing thin and I truthfully was jumping out of my skin to meet my new nephew. The first person I saw was my sister and

A little secret…though sunlight is one of my favorite things in the world and also the name of my photography business, an overcast day is actually preferable for a photoshoot. There is still enough natural light for pictures, but the sun can often cause squinting, shadows, and in August, a lot of uncomfortable heat. This morning in early August was ideal in that it was a little cloudy. I was really looking forward to this shoot. I was excited to see Carin and meet her family

{event} Rory's Baptism
The family you choose; that’s what we are. Friends who are an intricate part of each other’s lives for every celebration, achievement, tough day, and all the mundane days in between. Which is why when Beth told me a few weeks prior that they were going to get Rory baptized, I was elated. Later on that same night, I went over to Beth’s house blasting TLC’s CrazySexyCool on my way, preparing for our 90s trivia night at Saxers. She had asked me to get to her house a little early

In case you haven’t heard me screaming it from the rooftops for the last nine months, my sister and her family are expecting baby boy #2. Anything is possible, and in the midst of… A LOT going on, we made sure these precious moments were captured before his arrival . I got to Larissa and Stephen’s house around 10 am. Riss was upstairs getting ready and naturally Jordan was vacuuming while Stephen got his clothes together. Taking a little break from his chores, it was a perfec

Usually the end of Spring Break can be dreadful. However, this year, it was pleasant, relaxing, and filled with amazing photographs. I had the privilege of meeting Jordan and Courtney and their two adorable sons, Griffin and Dean, at Oakbourne Park in West Chester. The weather was gorgeous…the sky blue, the grass a vibrant green and the evening sun providing a balance of light and shadows. The open park was the ideal place to begin shooting. There were sporadic trees and benc

{newborn} The Tadley Family
A few months ago, I met the Tadley family out near Villanova to take some family photos. Ella, in her pink boots splashing in the puddles the rain left from the day before, was dancing her way through Baby Shark. Steph and Tom were expecting their second child and excited to capture their precious family of three. Fast forward some time to last weekend, when I was given the privilege and honor again to capture the Tadleys as a family of four. Brooks was just shy of one month

I don't know who said it, but the quote, “If you don’t take the risk, you’ll lose the chance” comes to mind when I think of the Sunday morning I met Stef and Tom at the Willows at Villanova. The day before and the morning of our photoshoot were rainy. It was the misty type of rain....the kind you can barely see, but your hair definitely reacts. We risked it because if we didn’t, we might have lost the chance for these beautiful moments. By the time we got to the Willows, the

For the record, the morning I met Alison and her children was the morning I had the most Delco conversation of my life. Being born and raised in north Jersey, I always considered myself a “transplant” here in Delaware County and often laughed at the conversations I’d hear people having about who they know and what parishes they belong to. Alison and I have a mutual friend, which is how she got in contact with me for her photos, but as soon as we met we also discovered that he

You don’t ever really need a special occasion to take pictures; however, when Nonna and Pepe visit, the occasion is special, and photos are necessary. Easy like a Sunday morning...and it was a Sunday morning: the day after Bethany and James’s luau party. The sky was overcast (which I don’t mind at all for pictures, despite the name Sunlight Photography) with little bouts of sunshine peeking through the clouds. Their house, a completely different state than it was the night be
