{maternity} The Fox Family

We met on a surprisingly gorgeous, refreshing night in mid-July at Forbidden Drive and Bells Mill Road in Philadelphia. Alice, John and Winnie looked summer-perfect, matching in white outfits and so excited for a new baby in August. Three-and-a-half-year-old Winnie beamed with pride as she told me all about what she believes is going to be her baby sister, and from that first minute, I knew that this precious, growing family would be an absolute delight to photograph.

The sun was preparing to set and the greenery that surrounded us down a small trail provided us with the perfect amount of shade and comfort. The rocky terrain we followed past some picnic tables led us to the bank of a small creek and an old-stone bridge that served as the ideal background. I quickly began capturing the natural happiness and love that the Fox family shared. Winnie was the most cooperative and adorable tiny model. It was so much fun capturing her big blue eyes and bubbly personality in each picture. Though Alice was only one month away from her due date, she walked, talked, and posed with ease in the three different locations we found. With John and Winnie by her side, she glowed. The hour passed quickly and I truly enjoyed every second with the Fox family. We discussed the important things in life like Disney Princesses, Trolls, and the best ways to stay cool in the summer when you’re pregnant. Their photos, like them, are stunning and I am so honored that I was able to freeze these little moments of anticipation and wonder before this family of three become four.
