{maternity} Lauren and Phil

There were so many reasons to celebrate today: it was a beautiful summer's day, there were many laughs to be had with my best friend, and she was absolutely glowing. Expecting their little bundle of perfection in August, Lauren and Phil asked me to take a few pictures to capture the most exciting (and surely the quietest) moments before Baby M arrives.

A few years ago, I took Lauren and Phil's engagement photos that they used for their save the date cards. It was no surprise that they were just as fun and natural plus one than they were bursting with happiness over their wedding. Beginning in their newly painted nursery, Lauren had some ideas she wanted to try. While we waited for Phil, who was stuck in a work meeting, we also used some creativity and improvised with different props, furniture, and sentimental gifts around the house.

Sharing in their complete joy and love, I know this baby is going to come into this world being more loved than he/she will ever be able to imagine. Their smiles, candid and posed, say it all. Congratulations to very dear friends and such amazing parents already.
